I’ve never been much of a fan of warmer temperatures. Maybe it’s because of my pasty skin not being friends with the sun, maybe it’s because I grew up in the cold, who knows! So when some friends of mine tried to convince me into trying out the Moksha Hot Yoga studio next door I was extremely resistant. Call me crazy but the visualization of out-of-shape, overweight me wearing tight clothes and working my butt off in a sauna with 30 other people did not seem all too appealing.
Anyways, I don’t know what changed but one day I finally got up the courage to try a class. It was hot, it was hard, and I loved it! I quickly became aware of one of the extremely beautiful things about this studio. It is incredibly open and accepting of everyone and that is reflected in the community that it holds.
From there I did the Intro Month, made a bunch of friends at the studio, became an Energy Exchanger and eventually ended up here 🙂 as the manager of my lovely second home.
The studio is such a supportive and welcoming place. I am so grateful to be apart of this amazing community.
